The Metropolitan Police Department has apprehended a suspect accused of stealing multiple vehicles and leading authorities on a police chase from the Southwest Las Vegas Valley to Henderson on Tuesday afternoon.
Metro officials said police were investigating a stolen vehicle on the 7000 block of South Rainbow Boulevard around 11:19 a.m. when the suspect sped off from the scene.
While officers did not pursue, an air unit followed, witnessing the driver exit the initial vehicle and steal another by force at a business on the 2300 block of Paseo Verde Parkway, police said.
Metro said officers then initiated a pursuit that ended in a neighborhood near Green Valley Parkway and Robindale Road, where the suspect was taken into custody.
