
It’s time to vote for the Nevada Preps boys prep athlete of the week.
This week’s poll features four players who posted standout performances during the week of August 17-22.
Voting will close at noon Thursday. Results will be reported on Friday.

Here are this week’s nominees:
Ace Amina, Bishop Gorman football
The junior quarterback passed for 212 yards and four touchdowns Friday as the Gaels defeated top-ranked St. John Bosco 38-28. The victory lifted the Gaels into the top spot in the MaxPreps national rankings.
Carlos Bautista, Equipo Academy soccer
The sophomore scored three goals in the Yeti’s 8-1 victory over Founders Academy on Wednesday.
Ryder Dobbs, Foothill football
The junior quarterback completed 13 of 18 passes for 324 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Falcons to a 42-8 victory over Basic on Friday. It was his second consecutive big performance in the rivalry game, as he passed for 425 yards and eight TDs in last year’s win.
Andrew Duncan, Clark cross country
The junior ran away from the field Saturday to win the 5-kilometer Red Rock Running Company Invitational at James Regional Sports Park in 15 minutes, 35 seconds. His time was 14 seconds faster than the second-place finisher.
