Part of the issue with the spread of the “democratic socialist” platform is that it is fueled by young, low-information voters. What young person is against all mankind having free stuff, including health care, a monthly income, food and child care? Of course they want all that stuff, but they never are willing to do the hard work to figure out how attaining it is possible. If they did, they would know that it is mathematically impossible.
People need to stop voting for candidates with a “D” or “R” next to their names and better understand what the candidates support and how they plan on accomplishing it. Whatever it is, it must be possible. Stop voting for the impossible, and do the hard work.
