To be the best, you have to beat the best. But that was not in the cards for the Las Vegas Aces on Saturday night.

Minnesota Lynx guard Olivia Miles posted a team-high 23 points, eight assists and four rebounds as the No. 1 team in the WNBA secured a 92-87 victory over the Aces at Michelob ULTRA Arena.

Miles entered the contest leading all rookies with 19.8 points per game and became the fastest player in WNBA history to reach at least 600 points and 150 assists earlier this month.

Her performance was part of a balanced offensive effort from Minnesota, with all five Lynx starters scoring in double figures while combining for 80 points, 26 rebounds and 13 assists.

The loss gave Minnesota a 2-1 edge in the regular-season series and allowed the Lynx to claim the head-to-head tiebreaker against Las Vegas with nine regular-season games remaining.

The Aces remain third overall in the WNBA standings following the loss, two games behind the Golden State Valkyries, who are currently in line to secure the No. 2 seed as the playoffs approach.
