When it comes to amenities, the Summerlin master-planned community offers residents abundant opportunities to get outside, stay active and connect with neighbors.

For more than three decades, Summerlin has shaped its neighborhoods around an extensive collection of parks, trails, sports facilities, community centers and recreational amenities. Residents enjoy access to more than 300 parks and more than 200 miles of interconnected trails linking neighborhoods to schools, shopping, recreation and the area’s stunning natural surroundings.

And today, on Aug. 8 — National Pickleball Day — Summerlin residents have even more reason to celebrate with 14 active courts and four more on the way.

The community’s extensive recreational network includes softball and baseball fields, football and soccer fields, basketball and tennis courts, playgrounds, splash pads, picnic areas, open green spaces and resident-exclusive community centers. From youth sports participants and fitness enthusiasts to families seeking a nearby park for an afternoon outing, Summerlin’s amenities are designed to serve residents of all ages and interests.

And like the community itself, Summerlin’s amenities continue to evolve. One of the fastest-growing sports in America is pickleball, and Summerlin is responding to growing resident demand. Combining elements of tennis, badminton and pingpong, pickleball has grown in popularity because it is easy to learn, highly social and accessible to players of all ages and skill levels. In response, Summerlin has expanded its pickleball offerings at new parks throughout the community.

This investment reflects Summerlin’s long-standing commitment to enhancing amenities in response to evolving resident lifestyles and recreational preferences. Just as previous generations embraced basketball, tennis, cycling and trail running, today’s residents are discovering the fun and camaraderie of pickleball. Summerlin is ensuring they have places to play close to home.

“Few communities can match the breadth and diversity of recreational opportunities available in Summerlin,” said Danielle Bisterfeldt, senior vice president, marketing and consumer experience for Summerlin. “Residents can begin the day with a trail run overlooking Red Rock Canyon, spend the afternoon playing softball or tennis, meet friends for an evening pickleball match, and finish the day enjoying one of the community’s many parks and gathering spaces. This commitment to recreation, wellness and quality of life remains a defining characteristic of Summerlin.”

With more parks, trails, sports facilities and ways to play than any other community in the region, Summerlin continues to build on its reputation as Southern Nevada’s premier place to call home.

In its 36th year of development, Summerlin offers more amenities than any other Southern Nevada community. They include 10 golf courses; 26 public, private and charter schools; Roseman University College of Medicine; a public library and performing arts center; Summerlin Hospital Medical Center; more than a dozen houses of worship representing multiple faiths; office parks and neighborhood shopping centers.

Downtown Summerlin offers fashion, dining, entertainment, Red Rock Resort and office buildings. City National Arena is home of the Vegas Golden Knights’ practice facility. The Las Vegas Ballpark is a world-class Triple-A baseball stadium and home of the Las Vegas Aviators.

Summerlin offers over 110 floor plans in more than 20 neighborhoods throughout seven distinct villages and districts. Homes, built by many of the nation’s top homebuilders, are available in a variety of styles — from single-family homes to townhomes, priced from the $400,000s to more than $1 million.

For information on all actively selling neighborhoods, visit Summerlin.com. Before you visit, call the builders for their hours of operation. Phone numbers for each neighborhood are listed on the website.
