When will the Las Vegas Valley feel some relief from above-average temperatures? It won’t be this week.
On Monday, the National Weather Service issued an extension of its extreme heat warning through Saturday. The warning was originally issued on July 30 to last Sunday, but has been extended twice.
The forecasted high on Monday is 113 degrees. Las Vegas saw its hottest day of the year on Saturday when the temperature reached 115 degrees.
This July proved to be the third warmest on record with an average temperature of 96.6 degrees.
