A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a homicide early Saturday morning near a Las Vegas park, according to police.
Authorities said that at about 5:18 a.m. on July 18, LVMPD Communications received a report of an unresponsive man near South Hollywood Boulevard and East Park Access Road.
Arriving officers and medical personnel located the man laying on the ground suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Thursday, police provided an update that 19-year-old Jayden Torres was identified as a suspect in the case.
Torres was located and taken into custody on Wednesday, the department said.
He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center for open murder with a deadly weapon, attempt murder with a deadly weapon and conspiracy to commit murder.
