One person is dead after a fiery four-vehicle collision on Interstate 15 Sunday, a Southern Nevada fire department said.
Mesquite Fire & Rescue responded to the crash on I-15 northbound at around 1:50 p.m., the department said in a Facebook post.
Three people were transported to hospitals for evaluation and treatment, but one person died, according to the department. The post did not specify how many people were involved in the crash or if the person who died was one of the people taken to a hospital.
A photo accompanying the post showed an RV tipped onto its left side with a plume of fire and black smoke emitting from it.
The Nevada Highway Patrol, Mesquite Police Department, Beaver Dam/Littlefield Fire Department and Life Flight also responded to the crash.
The cause of the crash has not been determined, the department said. They added that the Nevada Highway Patrol will lead the investigation.
“Mesquite Fire Rescue reminds motorists to remain attentive behind the wheel, reduce speeds, eliminate distractions, and move over for emergency vehicles and personnel working along Nevada roadways,” the Facebook post read.
