A man wanted on a murder warrant in North Las Vegas was arrested in New York on Thursday, authorities said.
Kali Hines, 21, was taken into custody by a U.S. Marshals Service task force at a home in the Utica area. The agency said North Las Vegas police had asked for help in tracking down Hines.
“He is expected to be remanded as a fugitive from justice and (is) pending extradition to Nevada,” the Marshals Service said in a news release.
It was not immediately clear what homicide Hines was being sought in connection with. North Las Vegas Justice Court records show an arrest warrant was issued May 4 for Hines on charges of murder and attempted murder with use of a deadly weapon.
Assistance in the investigation was provided by the Utica Police Department, the FBI, New York State Police and other agencies, the release said.
