The Vegas Golden Knights will try to bounce back from a difficult defeat two days earlier when they host the Carolina Hurricanes in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final on Saturday at T-Mobile Arena.
The best-of-seven series is tied 1-1.
The Knights were nine minutes away from a commanding series lead and being halfway home to a second Stanley Cup championship.
They have to put that collapse behind them and are hoping to get a boost from the home crowd.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
Howden for Conn Smythe
There is a new name in the running for the Conn Smythe Trophy in these Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Before things got out of whack Thursday in Game 2 when Carolina rallied for a 4-3 overtime win, Brett Howden looked on his way of playing the part of hero for the visiting team.
Yet again.
The scoring touch Howden has displayed is something else. The puck just seems to find him. He’s so versatile. Does a lot of the little things right.

McNabb update
It’s unclear if the Knights will ice a fully healthy lineup in Game 3 after defenseman Brayden McNabb was injured Thursday.
McNabb took a puck to the face in the first period of the Knights’ 4-3 overtime loss and did not return.
Coach John Tortorella didn’t provide an update, but McNabb traveled back with the team.
