The Tallman, a luxury estate named after nearby petroglyphs, is set to be built on 10 private acres at one of the highest elevations overlooking Fountain Hills. Represented by Amy Wilms, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Arizona Properties Realtor, the estate will be located at 149XX N Lost Tank Trail. The new-construction home and its 10-acre home site is listed for $12 million.

Perched within Arizona’s Sonoran Desert, the property will be privately positioned in a landscape shaped by sweeping mountain views and nearby petroglyph sites that reflect the region’s cultural and geological significance. Bordering the Tonto National Forest, the estate will showcase 360-degree views of the Superstitions Mountains, Red Mountain and Four Peaks. It will also offer access to nearby amenities while preserving the rural setting.

Residents will have the opportunity to acquire a newly planned estate, inspired by an existing on-site residence, set across 10 private acres within a larger 123-acre estate. An existing property built nearby serves as the design inspiration for the forthcoming build, which will be constructed entirely from the ground up.

The soon-to-be desert oasis is offered as a customizable new build, allowing the buyer to select finishes and design details to tailor the home to their preferences. The residence will offer four bedrooms and 4½ baths with cohesive finishes. Offered as a turnkey estate, every detail of the home comes finished with the opportunity for the buyer to personalize.

“The home design was envisioned on being hand-selected, featuring top-of-the-line marble and antique tumble stone,” said Len Conlon, owner and designer of the property. “The furnishings were curated with the same level of care, sourced from auctions and markets across the United States and Canada.”

Once inside, the residence will reveal all-natural stones with wood beams overhead and handcrafted wood-framed archways. The living formal area will offer a double-sided fireplace flowing into the dining room, creating a cohesive flow between spaces. Additionally, soaring ceilings and an overhead skylight will bathe the dining area in natural light. The open floor layout will flow into the formal dining room designed for refined entertainment.

Plans for the home include natural stone accents in the kitchen that will frame the stove, while granite stone extends along the counters and island. A large picture window frames the kitchen, inviting natural light and capturing expansive views that elevate the space. A pot filler is integrated above the stove range for welcoming functional ease. Behind the kitchen, through an arched entryway, a connected back room will provide optimal storage and organization.

The primary suite is set to include a full wall of floor-to-ceiling windows, creating a connection to the landscape. A hand-carved wood door will open to the primary bath suite, complemented by stone granite countertops throughout. An oval soaking tub will sit beneath a glass-enclosed granite shower that is defined by stone surfaces.

“The doors alone showcase the craftsmanship with everything being done by hand,” Wilms said. “This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime property, unlike anything else in Arizona as it blends modern design with a focus on the ranch lifestyle.”

The backyard will be designed as a private retreat featuring an outdoor lounge adjacent to a heated infinity-edge pool that overlooks the mountain range. A statement fireplace is set to create a natural transition to the built-in grill that connects the lounges. The space comes covered and outfitted with ceiling fans, allowing cooling for the Arizona heat.
