KidPoker is going to be a dad.
In his latest YouTube World Series of Poker vlog posted Thursday, Daniel Negreanu announced he and his wife, Amanda, are expecting a baby boy due in late November.
“We’re announcing to you people,” Daniel Negreanu said.
“You’re the first ones,” Amanda Negreanu followed. “We’re fifteen weeks pregnant.”
Daniel Negreanu, a seven-time WSOP champion and one of the winningest tournament players in history, was shown six minutes into the vlog by reading from the book “The New Father: A Dad’s Guide to the First Year.”
“Just some light reading,” he said.
Daniel Negreanu then showed his bookmark to the camera, which was a picture of an ultrasound scan. Amanda Negreanu said the couple, who were married in 2019, has been trying for a child “for a long time.”
“We have an awesome surrogate who’s killing it,” Daniel Negreanu said.
Daniel Negreanu added that he and his wife have been preparing to become parents for the past couple of years, which included fewer late nights and more early morning wake-ups.
“I think it’s time. I think we are officially ready,” Daniel Negreanu said. “I’m already buying golf clubs, by the way.”
