The Trump administration may suspend the federal gasoline tax to help the American people. But Nevada officials have shown that they do not care about the residents of this state. They care only about your money.
In 1997, the Legislature passed a bill mandating that, if the federal government reduces its gasoline tax, the state will increase its state tax on gasoline by the same amount it was reduced by the federal government. So how does this do any good for state residents?
While the federal government is trying to help us, the state of Nevada does not care about us. It is time for a change. According to this logic, we are only as good as our money. So do not be upset with the feds. Be upset with our state. Who are the real bad guys?
