UNLV basketball has added another commitment to its recruiting class.
Jackson Kiss, a four-star forward from New Zealand, has flipped his pledge from Iowa State to play for the Rebels.
The 6-foot-8, 230-pound Kiss played his final prep season at Utah Prep Academy.
He announced his commitment to UNLV on Instagram.
He is ranked the nation’s No. 127th player by 247Sports.
This was Iowa State coach T.J. Otzelberger, who was UNLV’s coach from 2019-2021, on Kiss in November: “Jackson is a player who plays with a high motor and a competitive edge. He is comfortable with the ball in his hands, attacking mismatches to get into the paint or to make plays for his teammates. … He’ll make an immediate impact on our program with his maturity and consistency.”
Kiss played last summer with Vegas Elite.
He also played in the FIBA U17 World Cup, helping New Zealand to a fourth-place finish. He averaged 7.9 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists during the event.
At the 2025 Peach Jam, Kiss averaged 14.5 points and 6.5 rebounds.
He joins a UNLV team that has already gathered a haul out of the transfer portal. They include: Dontrez Williams (Lindenwood), Jeremy Foumena (Central Florida), Terrance Ford Jr. (Tulsa), Tyler Harris (Vanderbilt), Cam Miles (Florida State) and MJ Thomas (New Orleans).
The Rebels also return rising sophomores in forward Tyrin Jones and guard Issac Williamson.
