ANAHEIM, Calif. — The Western Conference Final will open Wednesday at Ball Arena in Denver regardless of the finish between the Vegas Golden Knights and Anaheim Ducks series, the NHL announced on Thursday.
The Colorado Avalanche will have home-ice advantage as the Presidents’ Trophy winners. Colorado is coming off a five-game series victory over the Minnesota Wild to reach its first conference final since winning the Stanley Cup in 2022.
All games will air on ESPN.
If the second-round series between the Buffalo Sabres and Montreal Canadiens goes to a seventh game, the West Final will open the next round. If not, the East Final will begin on Tuesday in Carolina.
The Knights lead the series 3-2 over the Ducks. Game 7 would be on Saturday at T-Mobile Arena.
