Pavel Dorofeyev scored twice, including the game-winner 4:10 into overtime, to give the Vegas Golden Knights a 3-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks in Game 5 of their second-round series at T-Mobile Arena on Tuesday.
Dorofeyev, who scored a power-play goal in the first period, scored on a rebound for the first playoff overtime goal of his career.
The Knights lead the series 3-2 and will try to close it out Thursday at Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
Tomas Hertl, after scoring his first goal since March 4 in Game 4, broke a tie 4:48 into the third period with his first 5-on-5 goal since Feb. 1.
But Ducks defenseman Olen Zellweger tied it 2-2 with 3:05 remaining with a wrist shot that beat goaltender Carter Hart glove side.
Hart made 34 saves and improved to 6-0 in overtime in his playoff career.
The Knights played most of the game without defenseman Brayden McNabb, who was given a game misconduct nine minutes into the game after an interference call that injured Ducks center Ryan Poehling.
Dorofeyev left in the second period after blocking a shot from Ducks defenseman Jackson LaCombe with the inside of his right knee.
The Knights were already without captain Mark Stone (lower body) and defenseman Jeremy Lauzon (upper body).
