Ivan Barbashev scored the go-ahead goal with less than five minutes remaining, and the Vegas Golden Knights held on to defeat the Anaheim Ducks 3-1 in Game 1 of their second-round series Monday at T-Mobile Arena.

Game 2 is Wednesday at T-Mobile Arena.

Brett Howden scored for the fourth consecutive game, and Mitch Marner had a goal and an assist.

Carter Hart finished with 33 saves and carried a shutout with 6:03 left until Ducks center Mikael Granlund tied it 1-1.

Barbashev scored 1:02 later on a weak-side tap-in to restore the lead after a linesman waived off a potential icing call.

The Knights won their fourth straight game after falling behind 2-1 to the Utah Mammoth in the first round.

Marner scored into an empty-net with six seconds remaining for the final score.

This is a developing story. Check back later for updates.
