The Las Vegas Aces on Monday waived guard Jordan Obi, who was the team’s third-round draft pick last month.
The 44th overall pick out of Kentucky, Obi averaged 4 minutes in the Aces’ two preseason games before the team thanked her and made the move.
“The biggest thing that I want her to do is not put herself in a box,” Aces center A’ja Wilson told reporters Sunday after the team’s preseason loss to the Wings in Texas. “I think she’s in a tough situation because she’s a tweener. We think sometimes she was at the four, we could use her as a three, and it makes her unsure. I want her to take that uncertainty out of her game and trust who she is.”
