The Las Vegas Raiders have moved on from a defensive end who has made 18 starts for the team over the past two seasons.
Charles Snowden was one of four players waived on Saturday to make room for four new signings, including a former Las Vegas High School standout.
Snowden had appeared in 31 games over the past two seasons, recording 67 tackles and 4.5 sacks.
The Virginia alum’s most memorable moment with the team came on a fourth-down sack of Cleveland’s Deshaun Watson to secure a 20-16 win over the Browns in 2024. He added his only career interception against Cleveland in 2025.
The Raiders also waived offensive linemen McClendon Curtis and Layden Robinson, along with tight end Matt Lauter.
Safety Devyn Perkins was one of the four players brought in to replace them. Perkins was born in Las Vegas and starred for the Wildcats before spending his college career mostly at Utah Tech with a brief stop at Southern Utah.
He had 35 tackles, two interceptions and a sack last year for the Trailblazers as a senior.
Perkins and offensive tackle Niklas Henning of Queens (Canada), were both signed Saturday off of rookie mini-camp tryouts with the Raiders.
Former Cincinnati tight end Patrick Gurd and former UTSA offensive lineman Kamar Missouri also signed.
