The Las Vegas Raiders have invited two former Southern Nevada high school football players and two ex-UNLV football players to their rookie minicamp.
Former Las Vegas High defensive back Devyn Perkins (Utah Tech), Bishop Gorman linebacker Giovanni Iovino (Hawaii) and UNLV players Daejon Reynolds, a wide receiver, and linebacker Marsel McDuffie received invites to the team’s rookie minicamp that are expected to begin this week.
Perkins is a 2020 graduate at Las Vegas High, where he was a four-year starter on the football team and was a 2019 4A state champion in track in the 4×200-meter relay.
Perkins, listed at 5-foot-10 and 195 pounds, played 41 games in five seasons at Utah Tech, which includes a COVID-shortened 2020 season. He recorded 139 tackles and five interceptions during his time at Utah Tech and also played a season for Southern Utah.
Iovino graduated from Gorman in 2021 and was on the Gaels’ 2018 4A state-title winning team. He began his college career at Washington State and spent 2023 and 2024 with the University of San Diego.
At Hawaii last year, the 6-foot-1, 235-pound linebacker appeared in 13 games and recorded 36 tackles.
McDuffie, listed at 6-foot-1, 245-pounds, was a three-year starter during his five years at UNLV. After redshirting the 2021 season, McDuffie ended his UNLV career with 259 tackles.
Last season, McDuffie led UNLV with 112 tackles and was a second-team All-Mountain West selection.
Reynolds earned an All-Mountain West honorable mention in 2025. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound wideout had 33 catches for 471 yards and five touchdowns in 14 appearances for his lone season with the Rebels. Reynolds spent two years at Florida (2021-22) and two at Pittsburgh (2023-24).
