
Shadow Ridge’s baseball team scored a run in the bottom of the eighth inning to earn a 12-11 home win over Las Vegas High on Friday in a play-in game for the Sky League’s last spot in the Class 5A Southern Region tournament.
The Mustangs (11-16), the Sky League’s No. 4 seed, will play at Faith Lutheran, the Mountain League’s No. 2 seed, in an opening-round game at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
Oliver Schoppmann and Eddie Peterson each had two RBIs for Shadow Ridge.
Mickey Martinez and Chase Clarino recorded three RBIs each for Las Vegas (10-15-1).
