The accolades keep coming for Bishop Gorman girls basketball star Aaliah Spaight.

Spaight was presented her McDonald’s All-American jersey at a ceremony at Gorman on Wednesday.

The senior point guard and Texas commit was named one of the 24 girls basketball players who will partake in the game, playing on the West team. The 24th edition will take place March 31 in Phoenix.

“Only 48 kids (between the boys and girls teams) get to play in this game,” Spaight said. “Knowing that I’m the only one from Vegas, it’s a huge blessing.”

Spaight is a four-star recruit and rated as the No. 20 class of 2026 prospect by 247Sports.

Spaight was named the MaxPreps state player of the year last month and was selected the Class 5A MVP and offensive player of the year by 5A coaches.

She averaged 21.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, 7.8 assists and 5.7 steals this season.

Spaight helped Gorman win the 5A state title Feb. 20 in a 79-76 double overtime victory over Democracy Prep. It’s the second state title Spaight has helped the Gaels to in her three seasons with the team.

Spaight will play alongside future Texas teammates Addison Bjorn and Brihanna Crittendon in the McDonald’s game. Texas is coming off a 78-61 rout of South Carolina to win the SEC tournament title Sunday.

“It just shows what my freshman class can accomplish next year,” Spaight said. “Knowing that we get to start building that chemistry that we need, it’ll be fun.”
