With an early heatwave predicted to push temperatures toward record territory next week, Las Vegas casino pools are already filling up, while others are announcing opening dates.
Among the next major openings is Virgin Hotels, which begins its 2026 pool season on March 24.
The off-Strip casino’s five-acre complex is rolling out multiple pool experiences this year, including an all-ages main deck and two additional pools opening in May. The adults-only Kassi Beach Club returns March 27 before shifting to daily service in April.
The resort is putting extra emphasis on approachable pricing, with weekday cabanas and daybeds starting at $99, and a locals rate of $75 with no entry fee and no food-and-beverage minimum. Day passes for non-hotel guests begin at $20.
Virgin’s lineup expands again on May 1, when the Terrace Pool and Dish Pool debut for the peak summer season, operating Fridays through Sundays.
Several other resorts have already opened their pool decks ahead of schedule.
Fontainebleau launched its six-acre Oasis Pool on March 6, offering multiple pool environments, a gaming area, the poolside restaurant La Côte and the return of daylife venue LIV Beach. Daybeds and cabanas start at $200, while weekday day passes for locals are priced at $25.
Across the valley, Station Casinos has already opened the majority of its resort pools for the season. Properties including Red Rock Resort, Green Valley Ranch and Durango are now operating daily, with remaining Station properties, such as Palace Station and Sunset Station, scheduled to come online by March 20. Daybeds at those resorts start at $75, with cabanas beginning at $175.
Meanwhile, Palms is offering free cabanas for locals through April 30, excluding the NCAA Tournament viewing-party weekend. The resort will keep the locals’ offer running Sunday through Friday beginning May 1.
Henderson casino latest to roll out value drink specials
M Resort in Henderson has started offering top-shelf spirits for $5 around the clock at all of its casino bars. The promotion, which began at the beginning of the month, includes Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Flecha Azul Reposado, Rémy Martin VSOP, Woodford Reserve, The Glenlivet 12 and Blanton’s Single Barrel Bourbon.
Guests can order the drinks straight, on the rocks, or in cocktails at M Bar, Knight Time Hockey Bar, AMP’D, and VUE Bar.
The resort says the promotion is aimed at providing premium drinks at a lower cost than typical Strip pricing.
Station Casinos also offers value-focused drink specials, including $1.99 margaritas and $3 beers and shots, giving locals additional options for low-cost cocktails around the valley.
Wynn watch
Analysts are keeping an eye on how the war in Iran will affect construction of Wynn Al Marjan Island in the United Arab Emirates.
Kim Noland, director of high-yield research at New York-based Gimee Credit LLC, said the escalation of the war in Iran may have implications for the company’s project in the UAE that has topped out the hotel tower and is on schedule for a 2027 opening.
“The expansion in the UAE is important geographical diversification for Wynn in what is a rapidly growing tourist destination,” Noland said in a Monday report. “Tourist destinations and companies dependent on international tourism could all be hurt by a war in Iran that makes the consumer pull back on international travel plans.”
Wynn officials said in an email last week that there has been no effect on the $5.1 billion project that is 50 miles from Dubai International Airport and 70 miles from where some hotels were hit by retaliatory missiles fire by Iran.
