The Las Vegas Raiders filled one of their biggest needs with one of the top players on the free agency market on Monday.
Former Ravens center Tyler Linderbaum has reached an agreement with the team that makes him the highest-paid interior offensive lineman in the league.
The move immediately upgrades an offensive line that is expected to be blocking for top pick Fernando Mendoza.
Grade: A+
Linderbaum immediately upgrades the entire offensive line and fits very nicely into the system new head coach Klint Kubiak plans to implement this season.
The contract — reportedly for $81 million over three years with $60 million guaranteed — is massive, without question. But the Raiders had the cap space and Linderbaum certainly wasn’t going to be cheap.
This is a very good move.
