The Raiders have agreed to terms with veteran kicker Matt Gay, sources confirmed to the Review-Journal.
It’s a move that almost assuredly signals the end of kicker Daniel Carlson’s stint with the organization.
Carlson, who is a free agent, would be the second holdover from the franchise’s days in Oakland to leave the team in the last week. Maxx Crosby was traded to Baltimore on Friday.
Only punter AJ Cole and offensive tackle Kolton Miller remain. Carlson would depart as the No. 2 all-time leading scorer in franchise history.
Gay, 31, made just 17 of 23 attempts in stints with the Commanders and 49ers last season.
He kicked for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2019 when Spytek worked in the front office.
