Why is Henderson using SWAT tactical units to take a 71-year-old cancer ridden man into custody?
You can’t wait until the feeble old man that’s supposedly out committing burglaries leaves his house?
Why does a representative of the Henderson Police Department say “as far as trying to notify occupants in a situation like that (it) would probably be counterproductive”.
At the same time he acknowledges that the SWAT truck blasts an automated audio message of notification upon arrival and while sitting there?
I’m interested in who the victim was because I know for a fact people that report theft of credit cards, purses, and some random jewelry certainly don’t get the same response to retrieve their property. I personally was told that since it was raining, there were a lot of calls for service coming in, so it would be hard to get an officer out.
I was told if I wanted to wait at the address I followed the perpetrator to I could, or I could go to the station and file a report. I certainly didn’t get a response from SWAT.
