I’m on the other side of the parental fence regarding the Virginia woman who allowed her 5-year-old son to visit a nearby lake unaccompanied to collect goose feathers. It sounded like she made a bad decision, was called out on that decision, and rather than politely accept the criticism, repeatedly escalated the situation. The legal system was eventually pulled into the fray and she was given the minimum punishment she could receive. I don’t think we need a change in Nevada laws to address this particular circumstance, and I certainly wouldn’t want my grandchildren visiting her for a playdate.
