A suspect is in custody after a deadly shooting Monday night in an apartment complex parking lot near the Las Vegas Strip.
Andrew Avalos, 21, was booked Wednesday into the Clark County Detention Center for open murder with the use of a deadly weapon and for being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, according to a Metropolitan Police Department release.
Police said emergency services received several calls of two men arguing and several gunshots fired at the 4600 block of Grand Drive, near East Harmon Avenue and Koval Lane. Officers at the scene found a man, identified by the Clark County coroner’s office as 30-year-old Kyle Prows, lying in the lot with several gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene, he added.
Avalos appeared in court Thursday morning at the Regional Justice Center.
