Coronado’s girls soccer team, No. 4 in the Review-Journal’s girls soccer rankings, hosted No. 1 Faith Lutheran Tuesday night in a rematch of last year’s Class 5A state championship game. Faith Lutheran won 3-2.
The Crusaders (7-0-1, 4-0 5A Southern League) defeated Coronado (5-2-2, 1-2-1) 1-0 in overtime in last year’s title game.
Faith Lutheran next plays at No. 2 Bishop Gorman at 5:45 p.m. Thursday. Coronado plays at No. 3 Centennial at 5:45 p.m. Thursday.
