The Las Vegas Raiders signed tight end Michael Mayer to a contract extension Saturday, agreeing to terms on a three-year, $45 million extension, sources confirmed with the Las Vegas Review Journal.
A 2023 second-round pick, Mayer is poised to step up in place of Brock Bowers, who was ruled out of the Raiders’ season opener against the Miami Dolphins after Bowers reportedly underwent a left meniscus repair.
The Review-Journal confirmed the terms of the new deal, which includes $30 million guranteed.
