The Vegas Golden Knights took care of one of their most pressing contract needs prior to training camp, signing captain Mark Stone to a two-year extension on Saturday.
The deal carries a $9 million cap hit.
Stone, 34, will be with the organization through 2028-29 season, the team he captained to its first Stanley Cup championship in 2023.
Stone tied a career-high 73 points last season and helped the Knights reach their third Stanley Cup Final appearance in nine seasons.
