Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix circuit preparation continues as crews ready the race’s 3.8-mile track.

Crews will erect the race’s infrastructure along public roads in advance of the annual F1 race weekend on Nov. 19-21, including on Las Vegas Boulevard, Koval Lane and Harmon and Sands avenues.

This week, crews are installing track lighting on Harmon between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., Sunday-Friday, with one lane open in each direction. Track lighting work on Harmon will continue through Sept. 25 and then again between Oct. 26-30.

No other setup work will affect traffic around the race’s footprint this week.

Race setup work will continue through Nov. 15.

The biggest traffic impact — the installation of the temporary Flamingo Road bridge that travels over Koval — is set for Oct. 11 through 16, when the intersection of Flamingo and Koval will be closed so crews can erect the two-lane bridge over Koval.

Crews will begin dismantling the race’s circuit just after this year’s event ends. Track dismantling will occur through Christmas Eve.

Future track setup and dismantling will take less time, as F1 is planning to add permanent infrastructure around the circuit as part of the new 10-year agreement with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and Clark County that will see the race staged in Las Vegas through 2037.
