A Clark County jury convicted a man this week in a DUI crash that killed a Transportation Security Administration agent.
In the early morning of Nov. 29, Eric Villazana struck a motorcyclist with his pickup truck after failing to yield at Tropicana Avenue and Mountain Vista Street, according to a a report.
Abraham Ibale, who was on his way to work at Harry Reid International Airport, died at the scene.
Police said Villazana had visited a Las Vegas tavern on North Decatur Boulevard in the hours leading up to the crash. Villazana fled the scene and was later arrested at an apartment complex less than two miles from the crash scene, according to police.
Villazana was charged with DUI resulting in death, failing to stop at the scene of a crash and failure to obey a signal, according to the online Las Vegas Justice Court records.
On Monday, a jury found Villazana guilty on all three counts.
Villazana is scheduled to be sentenced in October.
