The Athletics have spent $600 million on the construction of their Las Vegas ballpark project, 14 months after breaking ground on the $2 billion project, according to the team.

A’s brass are scheduled to provide a stadium progress update Thursday to the Las Vegas Stadium Authority. Team executives will highlight recent construction milestones and provide an update on season ticket sales for the 33,000-fan capacity stadium, which is set to open in 2028.

Bally’s Corp. is also expected to announce at the meeting that it is ready to move ahead with the northwest plaza phase of its multiphase $1.19 billion mixed-use development on the 35-acre former Tropicana hotel site.

Bally’s had received interest from a prospective buyer to purchase its rights to the mixed-use project, but a deal had not been announced as of Thursday.

The multi-level podium on the northwest corner of the site will feature parking on three levels and a plaza on the top level connecting to the main entrance of the stadium.

Bally’s was previously expected to build a parking garage and utility plant for the project site, but the A’s have now taken over responsibility for that work. The 1,500-space parking garage and utility plant will be built on the southeast corner of the site.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
