President Donald Trump is scheduled to address a crowd at Red Rock Resort on Wednesday afternoon to promote his administration’s tax policies.
The event, which will highlight the Working Families Tax Cuts from the 2025 One Big Beautiful Bill Act, will be Trump’s second in Las Vegas this year.
His visit began Tuesday night when Air Force One touched down at Harry Reid International Airport after flying from Los Angeles, where the president participated in a Republican National Committee reception and roundtable at the Trump National Golf Club, according to the White House.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday announced that authorities arrested a man at the golf course Sunday, who was allegedly seen taking photos and video of the grounds, “appearing to monitor security-planning activities.”
The man was carrying a loaded magazine and investigators found a gun and additional ammunition in his car, the sheriff’s department said. Jeanine John Taele, ofDowney, California, was jailed on weapon-related charges.
Trump was last in Las Vegas in April for a roundtable to discuss his tax policies, including cuts to taxes on tips, overtime and Social Security.
He credits a 2024 campaign stop in Las Vegas for the no tax on tips initiative, which was implemented through the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
Nevada’s House Democrats, Reps. Dina Titus, Steven Horsford and Susie Lee, were slated to host a Wednesday morning press conference at the Las Vegas headquarters of Culinary Workers Union Local 226 to talk about “the ongoing Trump slump,” according to the union.
