The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a crash involving eight vehicles Friday morning on a Las Vegas freeway.
The agency said in a text message that the crash occurred at 10:08 a.m. on southbound Interstate 15, just north of the 215 Beltway.
The crash involved eight vehicles, including a semitractor-trailer, according to troopers.
Authorities said one vehicle ended up on top of another as a result of the crash.
Two people, including the driver of the semi-truck, were transported to a local hospital, police said.
Several travel lanes remain closed as police investigate the crash.
