Gov. Joe Lombardo was pulled over by a Metro police officer for a red-light violation (Wednesday Review-Journal). First of all, allow me to say that it does not appear the governor ran a red light, as stated on the news and in your newspaper. It was a turn right on red violation, something that I would suggest everyone reading this has done. Next, at no time did the governor ask for any special treatment from this officer. The officer decided by himself not to issue a citation.
Of course, Democrats are jumping on this incident given the Gov. Lombardo is a Republican. They are trying to get their candidate elected governor in November.
