Ryan Craig now has an opponent to watch film on for his debut as Vegas Golden Knights coach.
The Golden Knights will open their defense of their Western Conference championship on Sept. 29 when they play host to the Chicago Blackhawks at T-Mobile Arena, the team announced on its X account.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. as part of an opening night tripleheader on ESPN. The Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes — who defeated the Knights in six games in the final — will host the Florida Panthers at 2 p.m. in Raleigh, North Carolina. At 5 p.m., and Original Six matchup occurs when the New York Rangers head to Boston to face the Bruins.
The full 2026-27 NHL schedule is set for release Thursday.
