
A High Desert State Prison inmate from Clark County died last week, according to state prison officials.
Hassan Fernandez Rodriguez was pronounced dead at the Indian Springs facility, the Nevada Department of Corrections said in a news release Monday. He was 35.
Fernandez Rodriguez was serving 19 to 60 months for participating in an organized retail theft ring and burglary of a motor vehicle, according to the release. He entered prison on Oct. 29.
Prison officials said an autopsy was requested. Fernandez Rodriguez had no next-of-kin listed, officials said.
