Authorities have identified a woman who was found dead on a sidewalk last week in the east Las Vegas Valley.
Lucy Robledo, 41, died Thursday from a gunshot wound of the neck, according to the Clark County coroner’s office. Robledo died from a gunshot wound of the neck and her death was ruled a homicide, the coroner’s office said Monday.
The Metropolitan Police Department said police received a report at 3:14 a.m. Thursday regarding an unresponsive woman laying on the sidewalk in the 1200 block of North Eastern Avenue, between East Washington and East Owens avenues.
Responding officers found an unresponsive woman on the ground with “unknown facial injuries,” police said in a Friday press release.
Authorities said the woman, later identified as Robledo, died at the scene.
“With assistance from the coroner investigator and a close examination of the body, a secondary wound was located that appeared to be a gunshot wound,” police said in the release.
Metro did not immediately respond to questions Monday asking whether Robledo’s death was still under investigation.
