An assistant Henderson city manager who started her career with the city two decades ago is leaving her position, according to a city spokesperson.
Assistant City Manager Lisa Corrado has accepted a “new professional opportunity” and will be departing from the city, Henderson officials said in an email. Corrado’s final date of employment is still being determined.
“We are grateful for Lisa’s leadership, dedication and years of service,” a spokesperson said in an email. “Her contributions have made a lasting impact on our organization, community and residents.”
Corrado is one of three assistant city managers who report to City Manager Stephanie Garcia-Vause. An organizational chart on the city’s website shows Corrado oversees several Henderson departments, including Building & Fire Safety/Development Services Center, Community Development & Services, Community & Neighborhood Programs, Government Relations and Redevelopment, Economic Development & Tourism.
The city did not provide a potential timeline for finding Corrado’s replacement.
“City leadership is evaluating next steps to support a thoughtful transition and ensure the approach moving forward aligns with the organization’s needs,” the spokesperson said.
Corrado’s bio on the city of Henderson website notes she joined the city in 2006 and helped secure millions in federal and state funding for behavioral health, homeless outreach and prevention, public health and neighborhood revitalization programs. Corrado’s LinkedIn profile states she left the city in 2011 and returned in 2012 after working for a firm in Seattle.
Corrado did not provide comment.
