A Pahrump man was killed in a single-vehicle crash this month west of the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area.
The crash occurred at 11:35 a.m. July 2 on northbound Nevada State Route 160 at mile marker 32, according to a Nevada Highway Patrol release.
Investigators say a white 2022 Chevrolet Equinox failed to maintain its travel lane and entered the left shoulder, striking a median cable barrier with the vehicle’s left front.
The driver, identified by NHP as Dustin Yager, 42, was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead.
NHP’s Southern Command has investigated 34 fatal crashes resulting in 37 fatalities in 2026.
