From Vegas. For Vegas. Always Vegas.
Station Casinos, the Las Vegas-born locals casino giant, is celebrating its 50th anniversary Wednesday by kicking off a citywide brand campaign featuring that tagline and unveiling a new logo crafted from its history.
Inspired by the original Bingo Palace mark created in the 1970s, the new logo pays tribute to Station Casinos’ beginnings while introducing a more contemporary expression of the brand.
The family-run company was founded by Frank Fertitta, Jr., on July 1, 1976, as The Casino, which quickly expanded into the Bingo Palace in 1977 before becoming Palace Station in 1984.
The new logo was developed with the company’s legacy at its center, and it drew inspiration from the company’s archives, including vintage playing cards, casino chips, matchbooks and classic roadside signage, Station Casinos said.
The refreshed wordmark reflects the simplicity of the time and the distinctive spirit of the original design while giving the Station Casinos brand a more modern expression, the company said.
As part of the new brand identity, the iconic arch from Bingo Palace’s roadside sign has been reimagined as a symbol of continuity, the company said in a news release, connecting where Station Casinos has been with where it is going.
The new logo reveal coincides with Station’s launch of its brand campaign, which will debut at Palace Station on Wednesday ahead of a drone and fireworks show scheduled for 9 p.m. The campaign will celebrate the company’s legacy, connection to Las Vegas locals and the employees who have served generations of guests. It will consist of broadcast spots, social media activations, photo booths, custom merchandise and more.
The logo and campaign were developed in collaboration between branding and design studio The New Company and Station’s in-house marketing team.
A limited-time commemorative 50th logo collection is available for purchase on $5 and $25 chips at the cage and player services, as well as on complimentary Boarding Pass cards and curated retail items in the gift shop.
The 50th anniversary celebrations will continue with special fireworks shows on the Fourth of July at six of Station’s large properties.
