The Vegas Golden Knights traded defenseman Kaedan Korczak to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday.
It is a one-for-one swap, as the Knights acquire 28-year-old defenseman Parker Wortherspoon. Pittsburgh is retaining 50 percent of his $1 million cap hit.
Wortherspoon scored a career-high 30 points for Pittsburgh last season and blocked a team-high 112 shots. He’s played 188 NHL games with three different teams
Korczak, 25, was a second-round pick of the Knights in 2019 who had 16 points in 78 games during the regular season last year.
He signed a four-year, $13 million contract last July that was set to begin next season.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
