A shocker on the first night of the NHL Draft.
The Vegas Golden Knights traded leading goal scorer Pavel Dorofeyev to the New York Rangers.
The Knights acquired the 26th overall pick in this draft, the No. 92 pick in the third round and a top-10 protected first-round pick in 2028.
Dorofeyev led the Knights with 37 goals last season and has scored 72 the last two seasons. He was set to be a restricted free agent on Wednesday.
This is a developing story. Check back later for updates.
