
Jewish Nevada, the representative organization for the more than 70,000 Jews across the state, has named Lisa Bassewitz as its new board chair.
In this role, Bassewitz will lead efforts to strengthen community engagement, expand philanthropic initiatives and advance the organization’s mission of supporting and advocating for Jewish communities throughout Nevada.
Bassewitz has six years of experience on Jewish Nevada’s board, previously serving as Allocations co-chair. She has also served as chair for several other organizations, including the Jewish Family Services Agency and the Women’s Philanthropy Council. She has been a part of the Women’s Philanthropy Council for 12 years.
