Work on the Athletics’ $2 billion ballpark continues to rise with the 33,000-fan capacity facility starting to fit in with the already visually impressive skyline of the Las Vegas Strip.
The steel framing of the third and fourth levels of the ballpark has nearly been added around the entire seating area, between where the left and right filed poles will be, with that work being done in just around three months.
The concourse between the two ends of the seating section has been in place, completing the full circle around the ballpark, for well over a month in what will be a standing-room-only area. There is where the giant glass curtain wall will be installed, giving views of the Strip to fans in the seating area and gives the domed facility an outdoor feel.
The first roof truss arch has been in place for about two weeks, which can be seen from just about anywhere in the Las Vegas Valley that has a view of the Strip. The first portions of the second roof truss will be installed early next month, with the second half of that to complete the second arch to follow thereafter, A’s President Marc Badain said earlier this month.
Work remains on budget and on time, with some portions ahead of schedule, for a Feb. 29, 2028 completion.
