Bishop Gorman senior Kamil Loud has committed to play football at Cal beginning in 2027.
Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, the 6-foot-1-inch defender is ranked by 247Sports as the second-best cornerback in Nevada and the 36th best in the country. He was recruited by multiple schools, including Florida State, Washington, Auburn, Miami and Michigan State.
Loud, who recorded 18 tackles and three pass breakups for the Gaels last season, adds to the best recruiting class the Golden Bears have had in years. He is the ninth four-star recruit for incoming coach Tosh Lupoi, which is the most Cal has had since 2011.
“It had to be Cal,” Loud told On3. “I’m a NorCal native so this offer means a lot. I grew up in the Bay Area and my dad has been taking me and my brother to Cal games since I was 6 years old.”
