
Southbound Interstate 15 was closed near Mesquite Thursday morning due to a crash involving two semi-trucks, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
Authorities said the crash occurred at about 2:11 a.m. on I-15 southbound at mile marker 107, about 13 miles south of Mesquite.
The crash involved two semi-tractors with trailers in tow. One crossed the center median and struck the other head-on, according to police.
One driver was transported to a the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Authorities advised that drivers can get turned around to go back northbound into Mesquite at the I-15/mile maker 112 junction.
I-15 southbound at mile marker 107 will be closed for up to 6 hours for cleanup and tows, police said.
