A shopping mall in the central Las Vegas Valley has announced that it will enforce a curfew for minors on Sunday in an effort to provide what it calls a “comfortable environment” for all guests.

As part of a new new “Parental Guidance Required” program, the Meadows Mall said the curfew will require anyone 17 and under to be accompanied at all times by a parent or supervising adult age 21 or older after 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 7.

“This PGR was not something we’ve entered lightly, and it is our hope to not need to implement this on a regular or full-time basis,” Meadows Mall noted.

The Meadows Mall said the following guidelines will be in place as part of the program:

— Starting at 3 p.m., all guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or supervising adult who is 21 years old while at the mall.

— Trained public safety officers will be stationed at all mall entrances to verify identification for guests who appear to be 17 years old or younger.

— Guests who cannot provide a valid ID showing they are at least 18 or older must be accompanied by a supervising adult to stay at the shopping center.

— One adult may accompany up to four youths and must remain with them at all times while in the center.

The shopping center also outlined “general activities” it says will not be accepted:

— Violations of the law.

— Any activity that threatens the safety of our guests, tenants, and/or employees.

— Any activity that threatens the well-being of the property.

— Any activity that disrupts our pleasant, family-oriented shopping environment.

— Any activity inconsistent with the general purpose of the property, which is shopping, dining, visiting theaters or offices for business purposes.

— Any activity whose nature would tend to disrupt the legitimate business of the property and its tenants.

— No firearms or illegal weapons.
